Balanced Meal Plan

You might be normal for your BMI scale after losing/gaining weight, but you need to maintain it for few months to get your body adapted. Balanced meal plan also works when you want a change in your current dietary pattern keeping the calorie intake same.

A balanced diet should contain the following:

  • Fruits and vegetables: They provide the body with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, which are important in maintaining health and preventing diseases. Fruits and vegetables contain low fat and high water content which makes them a good choice for healthy snacks. Fruits and vegetables may also be incorporated in diet as vegetable soups, smoothies, juices, salads etc.
  • Proteins They are important for body growth and tissue repair as well as healing of injuries. A lack of protein in the diet can result in muscle deterioration, heart problems, arthritis, muscle soreness, cramps, hair loss, loss of sleep, and poor wound healing.
  • Carbohydrates They provide energy, which one needs to function during the day. They provide fiber, which promotes good digestive system function. Carbohydrate-rich foods are also rich sources of antioxidants, which help prevent cancer, diabetes, and heart disease.
